Stage One – Design and Planning
Having been commissioned by the Malones to create an ambitious grand scale orangery featuring four separate living spaces, stage one was to build an accurate picture of exactly what they hoped to achieve. Our designers then produced a computer aided design of what the new living spaces would look like. It is very much the Crystal Windows’ philosophy that if a client needs twenty drawings to be satisfied before we proceed with a project, then twenty drawings is what they’ll get. The results must meet everyone’s specifications and that can only be achieved by thorough planning at the design stage. Far from employing pushy sales staff, the Crystal Team pride themselves on listening to clients to provide the design and service that has built our industry reputation.
Stage Two – Foundations
Stage two was to lay strong foundations from which the Ultimate Orangery would take shape. With our reputation as a leading Northwest orangery supplier Crystal Windows never cut corners. From design conception through to completion we use durable materials built to withstand the elements. With vast experience of working on structurally complex installations, every stage of this orangery installation was planned in intricate detail. Such attention to detail is evident by the teams’ awareness that the build depth for this orangery should be considerably deeper than a standard conservatory build requiring a simple small dwarf wall. As with every project our approach to the Ultimate Orangery saw a dedicated team of builders work to exacting specifications and stringent industry standards to create a solid and striking orangery built to last.
Stage Three – The orangery takes shape
It is always rewarding when an installation begins to take shape and the client sees their ideas taking physical form. The Malones were delighted to watch the rapid progress as the Crystal Windows team transformed the original design drawings before their eyes into four clearly distinct new living spaces. The beautiful brickwork was matched to the existing house, so it quickly became apparent the finished orangery would blend seamlessly with the original property. Contrasting detailed frieze was in keeping with the character of the house and, as originally requested by the Malones, four roof lanterns were installed to draw in more light to each new living area. The huge bi-folding doors were designed for the Malones to benefit from the fantastic views of their garden – another wish list criterion.
Stage Four – The finished masterpiece
Stage four was to present a bespoke and intricate finish to the four separate living areas allowing the Malones to put their unique stamp on their new orangery. The main aims of this ambitious Ultimate Orangery project was to provide the Malones with fantastic contemporary multi-purpose living areas that would draw extra light into the house, maximise the incredible views of their garden and create a covered outdoor area for al-fresco dining and entertaining. From the initial grand design concept the Ultimate Orangery was an ambitious project that required the team to call upon all their design expertise, building experience and industry knowledge. Using durable materials for the installation and calling on creative flair for the finishing touches, the results speak for themselves – it really is the ‘Ultimate’ orangery!
