Orangery, Bowdon, Cheshire
One of the most rewarding projects we have designed, this stunning PVCU orangery in Bowdon, Cheshire features 32 vertical sliding sash windows and an awe inspiring vertical glass wall.
Created as a result of a long consultation between the client and Crystal Windows - a clear idea of how the design would help transform the existing property to create not only a useful and life enhancing space, but also a superb addition to the aesthetic appeal of this house. Crystal Windows and Conservatories installed 32 vertical sliding sash windows, 6 sets of french doors and a huge 10m x 7m glass wall overlooking the rear garden and a spectacular bespoke Orangery.
Inside the array of sash windows give both a stunning outlook from the orangery and an abundance of light. Created with the care and attention that Crystal Windows gives to all of their conservatories and orangeries this PVCU orangery beautifully blended into the existing house to create a stunning addition to the living space. In particular Crystal Windows and Conservatories' ability to match both brick work and colour to the existing property is a testament to the care and attention we bring to every single conservatory build we undertake.
What's more, due to the special request by our clients' landscapers our joiners were commissioned to build the garden summer house and amongst other things organised the original thatched roof - for the crowning glory.
The classically styled orangery was constructed using traditional Yorkshire stone to perfectly match the original stone of the house. This bespoke design features sliding sash windows for a timeless look. The roof structure features lantern frames that are set in and rest on 3 tonnes of steel beams, cleverly hidden using a combination of plasterwork and timber cornicing given the stunning affective of a suspended roof.
