Window shopping? Ask the experts...
Choosing new windows is one of the most important decisions you can make for your home. Making the right choice can enhance your property with a new look, make cost-savings on heating bills, reduce noise, stop draughts and improve security and will add value to your home in the long-term. So what do you need to consider when making your choice?

Make a statement.
Practical considerations are often the main reason for purchasing new windows and quality double-glazing will make a real difference, from cutting heat-loss in half to making your home safer, but this is also a great opportunity to give your home a makeover. A few well-planned alterations could make a big difference; for example, simply adding dummy sashes to a frame will give more equal glass sizes and result in a much more balanced look.
Think colour.
Don’t restrict yourself to white. You can make your home more individual by choosing colour PVC-u frames which will sit in harmony with your property. Unlike hardwood alternatives, these are maintenance-free and represent great value for money. Popular colours for windows include dark grey or black for a contemporary look or soft creams for a more traditional home.
Be bold.
Whether you’re building a new home or refurbishing an existing one, remember that windows don't have to be square. Think of striking angled frames or curves and circles for visual impact.
